Since May 2005 AMPEG is a participant in the UN network “Global Compact”. The aim of this voluntary association is to strengthen the cooperation between the United Nations, the private sector and other social actors and to make this cooperation usable for the enforcement of the main targets of the UN.
Companies taking part in the network avow themselves to embrace, support and enact the ten principles of the Global Compact. AMPEG supports a number of projects and organisations which are conductive to the aims of the network.
The Global Compact's ten principles are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
