About AMPEG
Founded in 1994, AMPEG has grown to become one of the leading IT security system integrators. In 2003, AMPEG bundled its mass of experience in security solutions to create AMPEG Security Lighthouse. Our aim: to empower organizations to achieve manufacturer-independent and cross-console monitoring to increase the effectiveness of their IT security. AMPEG Security Lighthouse has been on the market since 2005, and is used by government authorities and companies from the widest range of sectors.

Customer-focused quality management at AMPEG is a fixed component of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). All customer-focused information flows together within CRM to support the analysis of technical inquiries concerning product optimization and innovation. A direct path to our customer is guaranteed thanks to the thin processes embedded in the collaboration between Development, Technical Services and Central Sales at our headquarters in Bremen. AMPEG Security Lighthouse grows with every customer's wish, allowing us to convert special needs quickly, and continually expand on our range of services.
Sophisticated Customer Base
We have specialized in supporting medium and large-sized enterprises since our foundation. Our customers include the Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances, as well as DATEV and the "Landesbetrieb für Statistik und Kommunikationstechnologie" (state office for statistics and communications technology) in Lower Saxony.
Social Commitment
AMPEG has been feeding part of its profits back into the society since 1998, the year in it made a profit for the first time. We support various aid projects and have been a member of the UN Global Compact network since 2005.

The Name
AMPEG stands for the answer. Put more precisely, AMPEG is the answer - The answer to the central and all-decisive question on the meaning of life, the universe and all the rest ;-) More importantly, it is also the question asked in Douglas Adams' worldwide bestseller, 'A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'.
The actual answer to the question is not really AMPEG; it is supplied by the supercomputer 'Deep Thought' some seven and a half million years later, and was '42'. However, because the programmer forgot to formulate the question clearly enough, it proved to be of little help. AMPEG is a creation of words, the sum of which is 42 (A = 1, B = 2, etc.) in numbers . The letters at the beginning and the end are formed out of the initials of Agnes Graf, the joint founder of the company. And, other than the answer in the novel, AMPEG provides help in all questions relating to IT security directed at it by customers and prospective customers. The question simply has to be put correctly.
